Over and over again, we hear about U.S. students not measuring up against their international peers when it comes to science. Well, the Cat in the Hat may be able to help with that.
Dr. Seuss’ beloved feline with the killer hat is getting a new animated TV show this fall, and it’s all about science. The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That! will debut on PBS Kids on Labor Day. The program will feature Sally and Nick, Thing 1 and Thing 2, and the fish, alongside the Cat in the Hat, voiced by Martin Short (a match made in vocal heaven). In each episode, the crew will discover the wonders of natural science (how bees make honey, why birds migrate, etc.).
In the meantime, check out The Cat in the Hat website and the activities to encourage kids to explore science concepts.

Hey, you meat eaters - next time you chew on a sausage, think about all the grinded hormone-fat and virus-meat. But no worries, it’s been micro-waved & x-rayed…
