This month you’ve donned a pink ribbon, finally scheduled a mammogram and counted your blessings. This week, be sure to see an installation that’s truly inspiring.
Artist Stephanie Engstrom’s “Breast Show Ever” is a contemporary art exhibit that celebrates breast cancer survivors. The mother of three created 4X8 mixed media panels featuring breast casts from survivors around the world that make a poignant statement for the month of October. Stop by the Susan G. Komen for the Cure’s first-ever art event before it ends on Sunday.
All proceeds from the exhibit go to the Greater New York City Affiliate of the Komen Foundation — so make a donation, and hope for a cure.
When: Through Sun. 10/19, Tues.-Fri. 4pm-7pm, Sat. & Sun. 10am-2pm; suggested donation.
Where: MWStudio NYC, 373 Broadway, komennyc.org.
