Life these days is a little stressful, to put it mildly. You need a mind, body and soul solution — but finding a sympathetic ear is like looking for a needle in a haystack.
Try the soothing hands of acupuncturist (licensed and board certified) Jill Blakeway, whose YinOva Center specializes in women’s health, from fertility issues and PPD to back pain caused from carting two toddlers around town. Believe it or not, Blakeway also works her magic (using a non-invasive electro-acupuncture) on babies suffering from the likes of colic, coughs or rashes. The center’s East-meets-West philosophy utilizes centuries-old remedies like herbal medicine, but will also refer you to a (very modern) doctor if needed.
You’re more relaxed already.

Jill is the best!
She is a big part of how I got pregnant 100% naturally, and why I had a very fast and easy birth. She is incredibly knowledgeable, effective and has a wonderful bedside demeanor. I will absolutely bring my baby girl to her when the time comes.

By far and away one of the best things about being pregnant was my weekly sessions at YinOva. I looked forward to seeing Jill and her staff every week and knowing I had a place to go that was just for me. I have continued to use YinOva for my husband, myself and my son (now 4)for a variety of health issues. The first time I brought my son to see Jill he was 2 weeks old!
February 24th, 2009 at 8:29 amThey are a lovely group of women who I am thankful I can call friends.
Jill is a true find in the panic stricken lady during pregnancy. After two miscarriages and multiple health problems, Jill helped me during my entire pregnancy (just had a beautiful, healthy baby girl in January) and I continue to find her soothing manner and expertise a God send. I found acupuncture to alleviate most of my stress and also help with my water weight (no back pain during my entire pregnancy), not to mention a comforting voice who objectively answered many questions, without compromising what my OB was doing.
February 24th, 2009 at 8:50 amI highly recommend the services of Jill and the YinOva Center and will continue to see her 2 twice a month.
I love YinOva! Jill and her colleagues have that all-too-rare combination of professional expertise and genuine, heartfelt concern for their patients’ well-being. When I go to YinOva, I know that not only will I receive top-quality care, but will leave feeling nurtured.
February 24th, 2009 at 9:08 amI have been seeing Jill, oh, I don’t know how long — 10 years? First for bladder issues and sleeping and digestion and back problems, then she helped me get pregnant the good old-fashioned way at age 41. My girl is almost five now and I brought her to see Jill first when she was 2 months old. The YinOva Center is a sanctuary for health and good sense and well-being.
February 24th, 2009 at 10:38 amI found so much comfort in going to see Jill and it made me feel like I was being very pro-active in my attempts to get pregnant. After a miscarriage, Jill helped me on my way to pregnancy, and once I got pregnant, was able to correct my child’s breech position in the womb. I also felt well prepared and relaxed going into labor having had several treatments in my 7-9th months. I absolutely recommend going to the YinOva Center!
February 25th, 2009 at 5:22 amtried and tried to get pregnant, no luck.
February 25th, 2009 at 5:40 amstarted seeing Jill, and was pregnant 2.5 months later. she treated me throughout the pregnancy, kept morning sickness at bay, I felt fit and fabulous all the way through, and when the time came, a treatment from her got the ball rolling. Highly recommend.
Jill Blakeway is simply a Goddess! She has been treating my ten year old daughter since she was four. I cannot sing her praises highly enough. She started working with my older daughter when due to chronic ear infections, we were being advised that she needed ear tubes. Jill cleared the problem up so quickly that my daughter has only had one tiny ear infection since. Aside from moving colds and flus through her system quickly, she has twice diagnosed and treated “mystery illnesses” that my daughter’s excellent pedicatrican could do nothing for and is currently helping my daughter move into preadolescence with a minimum of stress to her system and mine.
Jill has also worked with my younger daughter since she was sixteen months old for digestive problems. Now, at the age of four, my daughter regularly comes and tells me when she needs to take her tincture and is very happy to squirt the dropper I fill into her mouth all by herself. She also gets very upset when her older sister goes to Jill without her.
Aside from Jill’s abundant gifts as an acupuncturist, her emotional intelligence and bedside manner are a pleasure to behold. Jill and my older daughter have built a deep and close bond. My daughter feels completely comfortable telling Jill how she feels both physically and emotionally, which allows Jill to treat her most effectively. My daughter also knows that if she needs or wants to that she can communicate confidentially with Jill at any time if there is an issue she would like to discuss privately with her. As a parent, I am confident that Jill’s advice would be extremely sound. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
February 25th, 2009 at 9:46 pmTo label Jill just an acupuncturist or a Chinese Medical practitioner is to miss the big picture. I know my way around the alternative health field and this woman is a true healer in ways that are rare and, dare I say, sacred. In a world where we struggle to find the real thing in all the 24/7 hype, Jill and her team stand as beacons in a crowded noisy health field.
February 27th, 2009 at 1:51 pmI originally didn’t even go to Jill for fertility. I started seeing her when I returned from a rigorous job abroad and was suffering from adrenal fatigue (which I’ve recovered from through her help and improvements I made in my diet and lifestyle.)
When I was ready to start trying to get pregnant I asked her to begin treating me for fertility (as I was nearing 38 years old and I didn’t want to delay). I was pregnant within 2 months of trying and I have had an incredibly healthy and virtually symptom free pregnancy and most importantly a very healthy baby who is due any day now! I started seeing Jill again towards the end of my pregnancy for last month aches/pains.
Also love her associates Liz and Beth who does reiki at the center! Great bunch of ladies - very caring and effective!

Jill has been treating my 12 year old daughter since she was very small. My daughter loves Jill and looks forward to seeing her. Jill doesn’t just happen to treat children, she truly enjoys and appreciates them. One of the things I think all Mothers would love is that you don’t have to wait until your child is really sick to do something. As a Mom, you know when your child is not quite right and is coming down with something. With Jill, you can take your child for a treatment and possibly herbs to prevent the sickness from ever fully developing. Everyone who I’ve ever dealt with at the Yinova Center has been special and helpful.
Jill has helped many members of my family through a variety of problems. I recommend her without hesitation.

Going through infertility for several years was extremely stressful. Jill helped make the journey much better. Her skill as a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine is only equaled by her profound level of caring. Jill helped us through the toughest emotional challenges we ever experienced and I don’t think we could have made it through them without her. She was always available for questions, especially when we were given new information and opinions from the doctors we were seeing, and to provide support that helped get us through. After much endeavor we finally realized our dream with the arrival of our baby! It will sound funny to say after all we went through, but we miss seeing Jill and Beth (and Marie when she was there) every week. As someone said in an earlier post, Jill is a true healer - she is a blessing from the Universe and we can’t recommend her enough.

I am a big fan…I am so thankful to have meet her when I came to New York ( I am from France and studied acupuncture in Germany). Thanks to her amazing skills and understanding and her treatment with acupuncture and herbs, I have a wonderful son , I got no baby blue and Kyllian , my son , is healthy ( he got treated for reflux from her assistant when he was 6 months).
March 14th, 2009 at 12:36 pmThank you, merci , danke for being here.

Thank you all for your reviews. They have helped me decide to refer my sister-in-law to YinOva for her PPD (postpartum depression). As a grad student of TCM and living in California, I wanted to find someone in NYC that can help her. I can truly sense the deep gratitude in your comments. Thank you!

May 27th, 2011 at 7:26 pmI loved Yinova and also had some very good treatments at Acupuncture-Newyork.com. Both places treated me well and I always left relaxed and pain free…I have serious chronic lower back pain.
